Kudos to Jim Inhofe!

It’s about damn time somebody stated the obvious.

During the Major General Antonio Taguba’s testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee today, Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) made the following statement:

They're not there for traffic violations … these prisoners - they're murderers, they're insurgents, a lot of them probably have American blood on their hands. I would guess that these prisoners wake up every morning thanking Allah that Saddam Hussein was not in charge of these prisoners.

For every picture of abuse or alleged abuse of prisoners, we have pictures of mass graves, pictures of children being executed, pictures of four American contractors who were killed, bodies burned, dragged through the streets of Fallujah and hung from a bridge.

Good for you, Senator. Thank you for having the courage to state the obvious facts which seem not to bother your left leaning colleagues. As I said before,

It’s about damn time!

All one has to do is read the account of Nick Berg’s beheading to know the people our military is dealing with have a level of humanity just above that of animals. At this point, the difference is nearly indistinguishable.

In my humble opinion, one thing will result from the left’s attacks on the military and the execution of Nick Berg (a non-combatant by the way).

There will be far fewer prisoners taken into custody – not because there will be a lack of people to fill the jails, but said people will find their way to an early grave, and justifiably so.

Here endeth the lesson.
